But, we have a good news from Koichi-san. "SHOCK" plans to run for 4 months in 2012 from Januari - April and started at Fukuoka. Read the news here.

Endless SHOCK shows has been cancelled. Koichi came up and apologize on stage and even shook hands with the audiences (read the news here and photo are here).

究極のエンターテイメント『SHOCK』～
aired on August 18th on NHK.

He's been doing 'SHOCK' at Imperial Theater for 10 years already.  It started in year 2000.

Started in 2005, Koichi engaged in music, costumes, and stage director. (>is this correct?)

Name some Johnnys junior accompanied him; Imai Tsubasa, Nishikido Ryo, Ikuta Toma, Tomoyuki Yara, and Hiroki Uchi.

Some incidents also happened during production, rehearsal or during the show, but the 'Show must go on'..

I always love the samurai battle scenes.. It's one thing that made me curious to watch Shock. Editing to my previous comment, you're so good, Yara! *_*

Despite that it is dangerous, I should say that it was a nice fall.
Though he wore some safety gears.. just take care Koichi-san~

According to the news, NHK will do the documentary for Koichi stage "ENDLESS SHOCK" in a one hour program  「堂本光一とＳＨＯＣＫの１０年（temporary title）」.  The program will air on August 18th.

Endless SHOCK 2008

Finally, I watched Endless SHOCK 2008.

There's some changes. I meant to compare with the previous ES I've watched. Imai Tsubasa replaced by Tomoyuki Yara (MA). Akiyama Jun (MA) replaced by Ohkura Tadayuki (Kanjani8). The lead actress (Kuroki Meisa in 2005) replaced by a former Takarazuka player, (Hanasaki) Ririka.
Somehow I dislike the changes, or I should understand the slightly different story. Subs please?


Yara is fine, he danced passionately and can be such a devilish^^. But I miss Tsubasa xD.


Seems that no one can replaced Akiyama, yet. His role is important here and with respect to
Ohkura, he didn't bring in the lively atmosphere as Akiyama did. I'm sorry that he's leave now.. But it's surprised me that Ohkura can dance! Well, he's Johnnys afterall^^'


Nothing's wrong with Ririka, but I don't sense any chemistry with Koichi, or maybe I just didn't get the story. Ririka has cheerful aura while Meisa has serious looks. It seems that Kuroki Meisa appearance was gave me too good impression. I have to give a thumb up for her for being a beautiful lead actress and dance gracefully even though she's not a dancer. She had a good chemistry with Koichi as well. She's perfect.



The change I look for is at the lead actor, Koichi. He looks more relax. It's the Koichi I've seen a lot lately. The present Koichi^^.

I wonder does he ever feel bored to do (almost) the same show every year? It's been 9 years he did this, correct?
Though for any chances in the choreography and the guests are interesting to watch. Yeah, I'd like to watch more of ES xD

This is the first time I saw Koichi has eyes. I mean eyes expression. It's nice to see his eyes.. talk^^'
All along I knew, Koichi has small eyes. Perhaps because I saw him smiling or laughing mostly. I hardly checked him on magazines, sorry :p

SHOCK-ing Koichi

I wait for my copy before saying something about RAIN.
So, here's my review for the latest interest me, Koichi musical stage, SHOCK^^'

I was able to download 'Endless SHOCK 2005' and it's with English subtitle (fans is always awesome). And I watched it without a blink. I'm kidding of course, but it was awesome. I'm sure it isn't easy to sing while dance. Even though I feel weird in the end, I gave many applause at mostly performances. It was 3 hours stunning moment. Where have I been?? I'm sorry Koichi.. Yappari ne, I'm so slow :(

Anyway, the fact that it was always held at Tokyo Imperial Theater is one thing. But, the fact that Koichi can do many things, dangerous things are another thing. I'm really shock to see that. What was he thinking to do it by himself?? What are you aim for, Koichi?^^'
I hardly believe that the stiff Koichi I've seen on tv can be so flexible and smoothly do the stage act. Okay, I guess I couldn't stop praising him, so let me quote some facts from the net.

Shock is a famous musical in Japan led by Koichi Domoto. As of March 2009, it has been performed annually for ten years since 2000. The final show for the 2009 season was the 651th show of this series. Reputedly, it is very difficult to obtain premium tickets to the show (wikipedia).

10 years? Amazing. Both KinKi are amazing boys.
It was written at the credit note that the book, producer and .... is done by Johnny Kitagawa. I assume that the idea of the show is from the owner himself?
The other Johnny's boys that participated in the show; Imai Tsubasa, MA and A.B.C. was wonderful. The first time I saw Tsubasa did dance^^'. His figure is perfect, tall and slim and he's very flexible? Nice moves, Tsubasa.
Read that there's also Ikuta Toma, Nishikido Ryo, Okura Tadayoshi in other shows.

There have been five versions of the musical:

• Millennium Shock (2000)
• Shock (2001-2002)
• Shock is Real Shock (2003)
• Shocking Shock (2004)
• Endless Shock (2005–2009)

So, what I have watched so far is Endless Shock 2005. I wonder whether the story and the performances are the same every year? I've seen some clips from various year that have the same part such as flying, twisting on the rope, drums/taiko. But, I noticed that at the end of the show, Koichi had a talk and he said something like, "Koichi role in this show was died but..". I wonder the story is continuing from the start? I need to search more, I need to ask Ching ching.
I won't rush myself, but I'd love to watch the other SHOCK. SHOCK-ing me more, Koichi xD
