せんとくん

I was bump into Sento-kun while helping Wen who wants to get one through a friend who will visit Nara next month.

Sento-kun is the official mascot to commemorate the 1300 years anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo capital. Apparently there will be a special anniversary event on year 2010.

I wonder whether our Nara Tourism Ambassador will conduct a certain act for the event xD

Anyway, apparently there were pro and contra on the determination of Sento-kun as the mascot. Some seen it as a kawaii yet creepy. Some thought it kind of a disrespect to Budha. But it seems the mascot eventually accepted?
