[lyric] CHANGE THE WORLD by V6

I was browsing around and suddenly from one link to another, brought me to V6 and their old song, 'Change The World' (2000). When I heard the song, I felt that the song so familiar to me. Aahh.. it's Inuyasha opening song! Hahaa no wonder. I like the anime. Too bad it's not airing anymore in my country :( I remember that the ending songs of Inuyasha also beautiful, one from BoA (sorry forgot the title) and one from Ayumi? Sumimasen.. it's years ago and at that time I didn't think to find more info about it at all. But her voice sounds like Ayumi.

Anyway, back to 'Change The World' of V6. I like the song. Listening to it again bringing back to years ago...

Ok, I found the lyric and translation by Minako at Senshigakuen. I was surprised because I knew her before for Gackt's translation. So she's actually into V6 too^^.

Note: This is the first V6 song I ever heard. It was the opening theme to the Inuyasha anime, which my host family little sister watched religiously while I was in Japan. Even besides the fact that I heard the song weekly, I really adored the song itself. But I was truly impressed with the song after I saw it performed live on "Music Station." Mainly because their dance was great, their performance was perfectly polished, and the most amazing thing, they actually sounded like their recording, live. I was incredibly shocked by their honest talent on a really genki song. This is really something that'll cheer you up if you're down. Yeah~!

(1) The written lyrics refer to kaze (wind), but the kanji actually says shippu (hurricane). So, I went somewhere between for the two meanings and translated it as a storm.

(2) I really like this part. Sasaeaeru means not only supporting something, but to receive support back. So these by holding onto our unhappiness, we help build them, but at the same time, we won't let go because they support us somehow. Wow, go V6~!

Lyrics belong to Matsumoto Rie and Avex Trax, taken from the Volume 6 album, AVCD-11958 (track 9). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway.
