And finally, after nearly 2 years of absence from the entertainment scene, Uchi Hiroki makes his first public appearance since his suspension this July, acting in his senior, Shounen-tai's, stage show Playzone. His return had been announced earlier in the year, as a 'trainee' (reportedly lower in level than a Johnny's Jr). Johnny&Associates have indicated that, as yet, no activities are in place for Uchi after the play's run ends in September nor will he be returning to either his groups (Kanjani∞ and NEWS). In his speech on the play's opening night, Uchi apologized to the members of both his groups, and specifically thanked and apologized to Nishikido Ryo. He vowed to work hard to make amends and thanked everyone that had supported him for giving him a chance to be active again. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanjani8)

Former NEWS members Hironori Kusano and Hiroki Uchi will return to action this summer, but not with NEWS.
Kusano and Uchi were removed from the popular group last year for underage drinking, and were demoted to trainee status within Johnny's Jimusho. Since then, they have been working hard, and the agency has decided that Kusano and Uchi have done enough reflection on their actions.
The two are scheduled to appear in Shonentai's annual musical, "PLAYZONE," which starts on July 9 at the Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo.

OMG, it's sooo sad! Uchi cried while apologized to K8 and NewS members... T_T
Kusano's apology was shorter. Their apology especially Uchi was more dramatic even the Eighto and NewS weren't there. I recall Goro-chan (SMAP) was more comfortable though he sobs a lot. Yeah, his nakama was around and he was suspended only for 6 months. I can't imagine how it's gonna be when Uchi has to apologize in front of Eighto Rangers...
I feel so sorry for Uchi (he's 20 now, and Kusano made 19). Both looks genki and more mature now. I'm not sure about his fault. But is it really that bad? 2 years punishment, and as trainee? He had his enough. I mean.. I don't know then.. :/
Well, good to see him back. I hope, he can back to... the group he can get his joy and happiness~

Well Uchi was suspended initially because an “Evil” woman who “intentionally” got him drunk. You know Johnny’s have a policy That Jr have respect and listen to Senpai, not only within Johnny’s but also outside Johnny’s. Uchi was in program or drama for the TV station and the “Evil”woman who is a reporter or somewhat senior in the TV station plus with the producer of the show took him to a resturant for “Normal” dinner after show or drama, and then “insist” him to drink. He did think about it but then you know respect to elder he drink it … and then they drunk him and the ridiculously enough to dump him in a park in Tokyo where he drunk and shouting and crying then got caught by police of not old enough to drink. The woman later got charged and police just questioned him and release him afterwards. (Don’t know whether he was charged) Later Johnny’s released a statement that Uchi was drunk by the woman but as to shown their discipline they suspended him for I think a year. But “Unfortunately” Kusano got drunk “himself” and photo or charged or whatever I can’t remember and he got suspended plus Uchi have a longer period of suspension and then NewS have to stop for 9 months… Well I have to say may be I am harsher on Kusano … I don’t know but before he got suspended, Uchi had been getting some interview for magazine and reportedly recording single with NewS too, but then as Kusano got drunk and suspended, Johnny’s can’t released Uchi… -_-
I have to say the above is based on what I known, may be not the fact .. Cause I am not a die hard NewS fans, but I feel really sorry for Uchi when he got that incident and I did angry on that “Evil” woman for a long time till now. She had literally stop Uchi being a star! How dare she! Evil! >-<

Now I thinking again.. Does Uchi didn’t have any manager at that time? I mean the manager should take care of him and can avoid him get into trouble.
Above all that, this is really a lesson to Uchi and the Juniors, also other under-age artists out of Johnny's.
