I love the PV. Been replay again and again. I didn't know how the song portrayed while listening the preview and reading the translation unless that it's a sweet song. After I saw the PV, the song sounds romantic and the song can be really touching. For example, seeing あの.. ふたり は :D They both looks sweet, isnt it? Or I imagine that I could cry listening this song in a wedding, my wedding ^v~ And I love the music.. violin.. with orchestra

[Review] HERO The Movie
The ways of Japanese TV drama producers must be as mysterious to their Hollywood counterparts as the statues of Easter Island.
|
Whereas Hollywood prefers to spin out hit shows to infinity, while raking in millions from syndication — "Seinfeld" forever! — Japanese drama shows usually have limited runs of 11 episodes or so, no matter how stratospheric their ratings. They can have profitable afterlives on DVD and other media, but not the sort of syndicated eternities enjoyed by the most popular U.S. shows.
Japanese producers have explained this difference to me by saying that, for local audiences, dramas are like news — and thus naturally have short life cycles.
But there are exceptions, as the new Fuji TV-produced film "Hero" proves. The Fuji series the film is based on, starring idol-group SMAP heartthrob Takuya Kimura as a rule-breaking delinquent-turned-prosecutor, racked up humongous 30-plus ratings for every episode when it was broadcast from January to March 2001. This is comparable to Matsui hitting 11 straight home runs.
Instead of signing Kimura and company to another season, however, Fuji dropped the show for five years, finally reviving it for a special that aired in July 2006 — which also scored more than 30.
By this time, Fuji TV producer Chihiro Kameyama — the mastermind behind the smash "Odoru Daisosasen (Bayside Shakedown)" franchise and many other hit films — was developing a "Hero" feature. Set for release on 470 screens on Sept. 8, "Hero" is expected to equal or surpass the spectacular take of the two "Odoru Daisosasen" films, the second of which grossed ¥17.35 billion in 2003, more than that year's "Harry Potter" entry.
Nearly all the original cast are back for "Hero," beginning with 34-year-old Kimura, a delinquent no longer. Director Masayuki Suzuki also helmed the TV series — and brings the same tube-trained sensibility to the film. Closeups abound and everyone overacts furiously, like manga characters come to life. The plot may also be absurdly contrived, but Suzuki considerately keeps the explanations coming, so that even those who take extended bathroom breaks can follow along.
In other words, stylistically and narratively, "Hero" is a TV episode writ large — and those expecting a real movie will leave disappointed.
But it will also probably fulfill Fuji's rosy box-office predictions: Kameyama, Suzuki and the rest of the creative staff know exactly what they are doing.
Hollywood-style suspense, thrills and violence may be in short supply — this is yet another Fuji film in which the on-screen body-count is zero — but Japanese-style teamwork, in its most idealized form, is on abundant, appealing display. Also, the members of Kimura's team are quirky but likable individualists (hardly credible given that these are public prosecutors we're talking about — but what the hey), while the bickering relationship between Kimura and Takako Matsu, playing his nerdy-but-cute colleague, generates real sparks, though ones far more comic than sexual.
The film not only romanticizes the group-centered lives that many in the audience are leading, but gives hope to the socially challenged, the women among them especially, that they can find purpose, comradeship and, most importantly, true love. It's a big, flattering shout-out to the folks in the seats.
As the film begins, the scruffy rebel hero, Kohei Kuryu (Kimura), returns to the Josai Branch of the Tokyo prosecutors' office after a 6-year interval. The geeky Maiko Amamiya (Matsu), who was once his professional partner and something-like-a-girlfriend — is strangely standoffish, however. (Or not so strangely — if she didn't give Kuryu the brushoff at first, the film's romantic arc would be flat.)
Soon after his return, Kuryu is given what looks to be an open-and-shut case: A young salaryman, who was engaged to be married, got into an after-dark dust-up with a blond-haired punk, hit his head on the curb and fell into a fatal coma. The punk escaped in a van, but was ID'd by a neighborhood housewife. Arrested, he confessed to being the assailant. But when the punk finally has his day in court, he retracts his confession, while his lawyer, a saturnine former prosecutor named Gamo (Koshiro Matsumoto), who is now the winningest defense attorney around, shreds the prosecution's case. Instead of breaking early for lunch, Kuryu finds himself with a real battle on his hands.
How does a lowlife punk rate a lawyer like Gamo? While mulling that question, Kuryu has to find evidence. This quest involves Amamiya — and soon brings both of them, as well as the entire Josai team, into conflict with a special investigation squad, whose bloody-minded leader (Teruyuki Kagawa) wants to take over the case. Meanwhile, a powerful politician (Kazuyoshi Morita) under indictment for bribery is found to have ties to Gamo. What is their game? The answer to this and other mysteries seems to lie in Korea, where the suspect's stolen van has gone. Kuryu and Amamiya book their tickets to Busan.
There are various subplots, including one arising from the murder case depicted in the TV special, but the beating heart of the film is its relationships. It's biggest moments are not the thrills of the chase, but the rush from group solidarity in action and love in sudden (if thoroughly foreshadowed) bloom. This was also the formula of the "Odoru Daisosasen" films and, though hardly unique to Japan, it has been hugely successful here.
Kuryu may not wear a tie, even in court — it's against his punk code — but he is a loyal, dedicated team player, not a loner rebel. The film's message is that, first, by banding together with like-minded others in a common cause, anyone can be a hero and that, with a few rotten exceptions, wareware Nihonjin ("we Japanese") are the nicest folks on the face of the earth. Who wouldn't want to buy a ticket?

[JDorama] Hotaru no hikari ホタルノヒカリ
I'm starting to watch this drama, Hotaru no hikari, starring Ayase Haruka and Fujiki Naohito. Based on a manga too, but this one is more like for mature one. The only young one is Ayase Haruka & Kato Kazuki. Mostly are born in 70s.

- Air time: Wednesday 22:00

Synopsis
Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto.
Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano. -- Japan Times OnlineCast

Snapshot..
I haven't have time to do so, so I search on the net and found this one. He looks sooo good here~

This is a good opportunity for Pi to explore his skills in act. No cute Pi here.. he became a young man with revenge aim in his act. He treat Maki not friendly either. I'm glad that they will release the movie next year. It's a must, since the ending is.. not end yet :P Also, there's should be something between Pi and Maki (kekeee..)
The story is interesting. Too bad, I watched the drama with bad English subs :( A bit confused, or the story itself is confusing? Anyway, looking forward to the movie!
Oh, almost forgot.. I've listen to the song, Daite Senorita before and I didn't enjoy it. But it's sounds different while watching the drama. So i can enjoy the song now^^ I like when Pi saying 'Daite Senorita'.

[K8] Uchi on K8 concert~
I just read this pieces of news..

From BNS,

Translation of the article: by tomo as posted @BNS (with many thanks)
Uchi Hiroki who was returning to work as a Johnny’s trainee in Shonentai’s Play [Playzone] stood on the concert’ stage at Tokyo Dome where Kanjani8 were having a concert on the 5th. While the whole concert hall suddenly was in an uproar, Uchi was apologizing and thanking the fans. His old members appealed to their 55000 fans, “This is Kanjani8.” Kanjani8 were sending love call for Uchi’s return to the group.
During anchor, Uchi appeared on stages and the whole concert hall went crazy. The last time Uchi participated in Kanjani8 concert was in Dec 2004. It had been 2 years and 8 months. The last time the eight of them were together was in May 2005 when Uchi was fired from a play. It has been 2 years and 3 months.
First, Uchi was apoligizing to 55000 fans, “I’m sorry. I am really sorry.” “But, thank you very much,” thanking the warm welcome the fans had given to him. Then the eight of them sang Kanfuu Fighting. Uchi’s best friend, Nishikido Ryo, took of his shirt (the same one all the members wore) and made Uchi wore them etc. seemed to indicated some kind of a promise.
Furthermore. Yokoyama Yu said, “From here on our new legend will born.” Yasuda Shota said, “This is, kanjani 8!” They were all appealing to Uchi for his return. The eight of them held hands together and greeted, “This is the highest and strongest kanjani 8!” All of them looked they all had been deeply moved.
This time, Uchi’s sudden participation had made us predicted his return. For the “eight” of them, it had been a long time since the all together in one place. Their fans were very touched and didn’t stop roaring [Hiroki call]. Among the fans, some of them were in tears. However, JE had previously declared that[He will not return to his previous group], revealed that Uchi might be taking in part in solo or a new group.
Uchi debut as one of the members of NEWS and Kanjani8, but in July 2005 he stop all his works because of underage drinking scandal. He had withdrawn from both groups. As a trainee, in July, he returned to work in Shonentai Musical.

Uchi will be back to K8 then? really no idea..

[Kimura] I Come With The Rain
KOREAN actor Lee Byung Hun has become a paparazzi target in Hong Kong last week, after arriving to film his new French-American film I Come With The Rain.
But the dressed-down star didn't seem to mind being followed to and from his hotel. He even smiled and waved for the cameras.
While filming outdoors, Byung Hun, 37, was seen chatting with his international co-stars - Pearl Harbour hero Josh Hartnett and Infernal Affairs' Shawn Yue.
Shawn replaced Daniel Wu, who had to back out due to a leg injury. But it did not stop the latter from visiting the crew last week with fruit juice and herbal tea.
The only guy in the cast still missing in action is Japan's Takuya Kimura, who will guest-star as a billionaire's missing son.
He is the reason why Hartnett's retired US cop goes to Hong Kong, and meets a triad boss (Byung Hun) and a local detective (Shawn).
Takuya's involvement was announced last week - making this his second collaboration with Byung Hun after the upcoming Japanese film Hero.
The action-thriller is helmed by Vietnamese-French director Tran Anh Hung, and his wife Tran Nu Yen Khe co-stars as Byung Hun's screen wife.

My friend just pointed me that Daniel Wu was also in the casts. There's a photo of him in the shooting location along with Shawn Yue and Byung-hun. Not surprised no Kimura around. Anyway, so Shawn Yue actually replaced him? uhmm...Junichi Okada to star in Fuji TV's "SP"
Mon, August 27, 2007 (4:24pm EDT)
V6's Junichi Okada will star in a new Fuji TV drama series titled "SP," short for "Security Police." The script is being written by Kazuki Kaneshiro, who won the Naoki Prize in 2000 for "GO." This is his first time writing for a television drama.

He also has other skills, such as analyzing footprints. His boss is being played by Shinichi Tsutsumi. Actress Yoko Maki is also in the cast.
The show's general director is Katsuyuki Motohiro, who handled the popular "Odoru Daisousasen" series. Filming begins next month, but the series begins on November 3. It will air in Fuji TV's Saturday 11:10pm time slot.

Look, the wind starts moving
Still, I’m not giving up yet
I can feel the sun behind the clouds
even if there’s a headwind
My heart is drawing a dream
To anywhere high above, I am flying in freedom.
My heart draws a dream.
Oh, as I land on somewhere far away and open my eyes...
I feel that I could find you smiling before me
...how wonderful it will be should I find you there
Hey, if our breathing pace is synced
Higher, we could surely fly
From there we could see the future perhaps?
even if it is just bits and pieces
My heart is drawing a dream
Far from the past to the future, I am flying through time.
My heart draws a dream.
Oh, I wish there should be a day when my dream could come true
...that you could be there smiling at me.
Come on. Let’s reach out your hand
Now, we will be untied
Our hearts won’t be bound by anyone
Our eyes will find the sunlight
no matter how the world would become
Everybody now~
Let’s draw a dream. Let’s draw a dream. Let’s draw a dream.
Our hearts draw a dream.
Let’s draw a dream. Let’s draw a dream. Let’s draw a dream.
... look
As I land on somewhere far away and open my eyes...
should I find you smiling before me
...how wonderful it will be

[SMAP] Kumi Koda & Masahiro Nakai & SMAP and Avex ~
Interesting news!! or should I say Breaking News?!
---
Mainichi
Nakai, 35, has been SMAP's front man since it first burst onto Japan's showbiz scene in the early '90s. But the band is now facing a crisis, as its record label throughout that time, Victor Entertainment, is about to be swallowed up by parent company Victor Japan due to of cash flow problems.
"What all that means is that record companies across the country are fighting to try and get SMAP to sign with them," a music company's top boss tells Sunday Mainichi on condition of anonymity. "Giving a few names, there's the foreign-funded Universal Music, but also powerful Avex; where, of course, Koda is signed up."
While Nakai and Koda are apparently snuggling up, it looks like their respective record companies may be in the same process.
"Avex has a deal with SMAP's agency Joy Dream to produce and distribute anime movies," the boss says. "And Hisahiko Iida, who looked after SMAP at Victor when they were still a group of unknowns, has just been appointed as a director at Avex."
SMAP is also rumored to be looking to break away from Johnny & Associates, Japan's most famous talent agency and renowned for its ability to churn out pretty boy bands. But Johnny's is having plenty of input in who SMAP signs up with, and it's not really looking in Avex's direction.
"Julie Fujishima, who's said to be most likely to take over Johnny & Associates, is often called SMAP's creator. She doesn't want SMAP to break off the links it has to Johnny's, so she's looking to get the band to sign up with Universal, not Avex," a music producer says. "SMAP's members will make the final decision on where the band goes, though."
Even though the creator may be looking in a different direction, SMAP's members are definitely gazing in the direction of Avex. Whispers are floating about that Takuya Kimura, the band's biggest name, is poised to sign up as the star of a movie to celebrate Avex's 20th anniversary next year. And, of course, there's the Nakai link to Koda, a performer closely associated with the Avex label.
"All the talk about record companies has come about because of news about Nakai and Koda supposedly being madly in love. I don't know whether all that stuff is true, but there is no doubt that they are very, very close," a manager at a foreign-owned music company tells Sunday Mainichi. "SMAP being highly likely to move to a new label is probably what sparked all the stories about the singers' love lives." (By Ryann Connell)

The news about SMAP will move to Avex or SMAP will break away from Johnny's already came out before. About moving record company, I really don't understand the impact of it. It won't affect the fans I guess. But as for SMAP will break away from Johnny's, I don't know either. SMAP already big in the entertainment industry and with the members talents, I don't think it won't affect much whether they were with Johnny's or not. Maybe.I still want to quote the rumor about Nakai-Koda. So, they really close, close? :D
